On June 24, 2020, Chris Bergin and Martin Kobus lost their beautiful, loving, intelligent son Sebastian. He was 17 years old, had just graduated from high school. He took his own life.

His parents would say that, in his lifetime, he struggled with self respect, socialization and mental illness.

We are honored to partner with Chris & Martin in creating this legacy scholarship, created in Sebastian’s name, in hopes of helping other families in similar situations.

Every dollar donated to this legacy scholarship will be given directly to individuals and families experiencing the struggle of suicide, whether it’s in helping someone walking through thoughts of suicide or whether it’s in supporting a family who has experienced suicide and lost someone.

You can choose to give a one-time gift towards a Legacy Scholarship or set up a recurring, monthly gift, which helps us ensure we can continue this important work and impact more families dealing with suicide.

Please select the legacy scholarship you are giving towards in the designation section under the donation amount.
